Invited to EuroPython 2005
Paul Everitt has invited me to be a keynote speaker for the Zope track at this year's EuroPython conference.
I will be presenting a keynote address on the curent status of content management in Zope and on the "CMS commons" which is now evolving among the major CMS applications atop Zope. I plan to talk about a roadmap for a "CMF 2.0" platform, based on Zope 2.8 and Five, which can serve as a bridgehead for moving the current Zope2 CMS applications toward Zope3.
Some topics which I am thinking about examining in the course of this talk:
The role of the CMF
The shape of the "Enterprise CMS Commons"
Competition and differentiation in the Zope CMS ecosystem
Paul also asked if I would moderate the CMS panel at the end of the Zope track.
